Journey - God Mountains by Shade

This lonely landscape is probably influenced at least a little by my recent time with Shadow of the Colossus. It is a gorgeous, epic, very elegant game, and everyone could learn a lot from playing it. Plus, it's fun. This pic was itching around in the back of my head for about a week, before I finally sat down and took about 2 hours to do it the other day. PS. Addicted to long vertical formats. Yum.

Lady of Light (Thought I haaad uploaded this but apparantly I have not :). Done bout 6 months ago now I think? ) 10 points if you recognize who I modelled her after. That's right Galadriel from LOTR. There was one photo in particular of Galadriel that always stuck in my mind, and so I wanted to pay Galadriel Homage in animal form. I am rather proud of the piece, shortcomings and all. It is one I got rather attached to. Celtic knotwork..eh could use a lot of work...I was actually quite lazy with it and just freehanded it instead of lanning ahead. This is my werefox character, Lorelei, from my Black Tapestries webcomic. It should be noted that her world has a smaller second sun, and that is what's producing the light. It's not a moon, or the sun itself. Just the "Sunstar" as they call it. She vents her frustration out on various non-existing deities.

For some reason all my kitsune end up in autumn themes or colors o.o;; I don't know why.. Anyways, I just felt like drawing an elegant kitsune. I also saw an umbrella similiar to that somewhere and thought it was the neatest idea so want to try it out. Afterall, kitsune would be closer to nature wouldn't they? LOL, I've gotten a lot of comments about this one... what can I say, I wasn't trying to make any grand statement, it's just a fun piece featuring my kitty fairies. Yes, I am a big Escher fan. I really like the way this turned out but I think it would be nicer in a larger size (it's 3.5 x 2.5 inches).

Kitty is dressed as a young Edo era Japanese upper-class lady. She is playing with a temari - a small ball made of scraps of fabric covered with silk embroidery. The sparrows on the screen were arranged to look like they're going after the ball too. Style is a cuted-up version of Ukiyoe.

Enjoying the morning sun. :) After a major artblock I randomly scribbled something and started coloring it. The color scheme of this was originally purple and the cheetah was actually a white one but then I wanted to give it a more natural look.

I've always wanted to name something "Twilight". I just love that word for some reason. Anyway, the creature in this picture changed a lot. I knew I was going to draw clouds anyway, but first there was supposed to be a dragon, then a gryphon, then a creature from the Finnish mythology and then I ended up drawing a lion.

I had never attempted to do a fully digital piece for one of my own projects before, probably because of the lingering thought that it might turn out downright rubbish, so, I finally put my itchy fingers into action... and this was the result. The image was originally at least two times the size of the final here, but my dislike of several elements led me to crop it and work on smaller areas. I don't imagine my character Lance to be necessarily giving his pal Yolos the 'cold shoulder', as that's not what the original sketch was all about, although Yolos does make it a habit to say inappropriate things every now and then.
